One Minneapolis, One Read

Read the book, Join the Conversation

This year’s book is A Choice of
Weapons
by Gordon Parks. Set
in the Twin Cities, Parks’ auto-
biography tells how he managed
to escape the poverty and bigotry
around him and to launch his
distinguished career by choosing
the weapons given him by “a
mother who placed love, dignity,
and hard work over hatred.”

Reserve Space in the Minneapolis Public Schools

The Online Facilities Reservation System is the process for requesting for the use of school district facilities for community meetings, festivals, plays, workshops, youth and adult sports and other uses of school buildings and grounds.

Community Partners Online (CPO)

Organizations seeking to partner with the Minneapolis Public Schools need to complete an online certification process called Community Partners Online or CPO. The newly updated site has streamlined the process for new and returning partner organizations.
