Becoming a Volunteer is Easy!

Step 1. Look through the Program Descriptions to determine with which of our three programs you would like to become involved. Also look on the program descriptions page at the main ways that volunteers serve in schools to get a sense of some roles you may be interested in taking on.

Step 2. Look over the volunteer orientation dates listed below. We require all volunteers to attend an orientation. Write down one you are able to attend (you will need to write this date on your application before submission).

Step 3.
a)
To volunteer with either the Tutors and Classroom Assistants for K-12 Program or the Intergenerational Program, fill out our Online Volunteer Application or download a paper application. If you choose the paper application, fill it out and send it to the Volunteer MPS Office. Our address is on the top of the application form.
b) If you would like to volunteer with the Adult Learners Programclick here to learn about ABE and how to apply to volunteer.

Step 4. Attend the MPS Volunteer Orientation which you chose and wrote on your application.

After you have completed orientation, we'll contact you when we have found a good school for you!
